Boston marathon bombing survivors complete charity relay

Survivors from last year’s Boston Marathon bombings crossed the finish line at the end of the coast-to-coast One Run for Boston charity relay. Runners could be seen breaking down and crying as they finished the race. The almost 5,000-kilometer relay started on March 16 in Santa Monica, California. Three British runners started “One Run for Boston” last year to show support for victims and survivors of the blasts that killed three people and injured 264 others. Meanwhile, the finish line for the Boston Marathon has been instilled a day before the anniversary of the bombings. It is seen as a tribute to the victims as it added two heart logos with the word “Boston” inside of them. -- Mornings @ ANC, April 15, 2014.
