Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) leaders Benito and Wilma Tiamzon refused to enter a plea during their arraignment on charges of kidnapping and serious illegal detention. The Tiamzons are being accused of abducting four military officers at a checkpoint in Quezon back in 1988. Atty. Rachel Pastores, counsel of the couple, asked the Quezon City Regional Trial Court for more time to study the case, saying they were only informed about it yesterday. Pastores added her clients have no recollection of the alleged kidnapping. ANC Dateline Philippines, April 8, 2014
