MANILA – Fire razed at least 30 homes in Alabang, Muntinlupa before dawn on Wednesday. Fire erupted at a residential area in Purok 4 Extension at around 3 a.m., burning down at least 30 homes made mostly of light materials. The fire reached the third alarm and was declared out at 5:15 a.m. A teenage girl sustained first-degree burns after being trapped inside her house. At least 40 families were rendered homeless after the fire. The cost of damage from the blaze was estimated at P500,000. Fire investigators suspect that arson triggered the blaze. A certain Rosemarie Villamin claimed that Haira Ismael, to whom she pawned her house to, deliberately burned down her house. Villamin said she owed P15,000 to Ismael.
