MANILA - President Aquino on Wednesday chimed in on the testimony of socialite Ruby Tuason who has linked both Senator Jinggoy Estrada and Senator Juan Ponce Enrile to the pork barrel scandal. Speaking to reporters, Aquino said it is up to prosecutors to elicit more information from Tuason following comments that her testimony in the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee fell short of incriminating Enrile. What is important, the President said, is that Tuason admitted her part in the scam and provided details about delivering kickbacks to senators. "Ang importante dito ay meron siyang tinukoy na sa kanyang personal na salaysay paano niya tinanggap yung pera, paano niya dineliver at kanino napunta ito," he said. He said Tuason's testimony could help the Senate in its investigation in aid of legislation. He said Tuason's testimony corroborated the revelation of pork scam whistle-blowers Benhur Luy and other former employees of Janet Lim Napoles. The President said he expects more witnesses to come forward. Tuason earlier testified that she personally delivered millions of pesos in pork barrel kickbacks to Estrada and Atty. Gigi Reyes, the former chief aide of Enrile. Tuason, Napoles, Estrada and Enrile are facing charges before the Office of the Ombudsman for their alleged links to the scam. ANC, February 19, 2014
