MANILA – A second year student of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) on Tuesday lost expensive gadgets he left inside his car parked inside the university campus. The victim's father, Karlo Aquino, said his son, who is taking up advertising, discovered that one of the windows of his black Toyota Vios, parked inside the UST Multi-deck Carpark, was smashed, with his gadgets such as DSLR cameras, lenses and laptop already gone. The spot where Aquino's car was parked had no closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera. Aquino suspects that his gadgets were stolen between 3 and 5 p.m. ABS-CBN News tried to reach the management of Selegna Holdings Corp., operator of the car park, but its security guards and cashier said no official was available to issue a statement on the incident. Nonetheless, the car park employees said that under the car park's terms and conditions, the car park management cannot be held responsible for items stolen inside its facility. The Aquino family said it will take legal steps against the car park management. – report from Francis Faulve, ABS-CBN News
