MANILA – A van driver and his two passengers were injured after their vehicle collided with a 10-wheeler truck in La Loma, Quezon City on Friday morning. Traffic investigators said the van slammed into the side portion of the truck at the intersection of Mayon and N. Cuenco Streets, pinning driver Jericho Fiamonte and passengers Christian Fiamonte and Robin Calinao to their seats. It took rescuers over an hour to finally remove the victims from being stuck inside the heavily damaged van. Traffic investigator Christian Barcase said although the driver of the 10-wheeler truck does not seem to be the one responsible for the crash, he may still be held liable for entering a road where large vehicles are prohibited. – report from Henry Atuelan, dzMM
