MANILA, Philippines – New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez refuses to go down without a fight. The third baseman filed a federal lawsuit against Major League Baseball (MLB), the MLB Players Association and the office of the Commissioner of Baseball. A-Rod is hoping to overturn his 162-game suspension over doping allegations. Two days ago, an arbitrator upheld most of MLB’s suspension of the star, who will sit out the entire 2014 season and the postseason. The break will cost Rodriguez $25 million in salary. -- Mornings @ ANC, January 14, 2014.
