MANILA - Public Works and Highways Secretary Rogelio Singson praised the appointment of former senator Panfilo Lacson as head of rehabilitation efforts after super typhoon Yolanda. Singson said the task of rebuilding from the devastation wrought by Yolanda in 14 provinces is enormous and the national government needs to assign one capable official to focus solely on this mission. He also said since Lacson is already in charge of reconstruction in typhoon-hit areas, other Cabinet officials may now concentrate on other programs and solve problems in other parts of the country.
