MANILA - Whistle-blowers in the P10 billion pork barrel scam had a scare Thursday morning due to a road accident while on their way to the Senate. A report by ABS-CBN correspondent Jay Ruiz said the convoy carrying the six whistle-blowers had to stop after a Nissan Urvan and a Toyota Corolla Altis collided at the corner of Raja Sulayman and Roxas Boulevard service road. Police escorts of the whistle-blowers immediately got out of their cars with guns out, thinking that the accident was an attempt on the whistle-blowers. However, both drivers admitted that the incident was a traffic accident. Benhur Luy, Gertrudes Luy, Marina Sula, Arlene Baltazar, Nova Dulay Macalintal, and Monette Briones -- who all worked with alleged pork scam mastermind Janet lim Napoles in various capacities -- will appear in today's Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing.
