MANILA - Miss World Philippines national director Cory Quirino has always believed that Megan Young will be the country's first Miss World winner. And she is not alone. According to Quirino, she has received calls from different prayer groups, astrologers, numerologists and life coaches shortly after Young won as Miss World Philippines, with all of them saying that they see something in her. "They all said the same thing, 'we see something in Megan, we believe she's going to win the crown,'" Quirino said in an interview on "Mornings@ANC" on Friday. "And I also had a strong feeling about her when she won Miss World Philippines, because she swept all the awards and I'm saying, 'okay, she's already the anointed one (laughs), she's the one,'" she added. Quirino also recalled how a number of Miss World licensees from different countries approached her and said that Young has a great chance of winning the crown. "At least three to five countries approached me and said, 'your girl, she's special. This time, Philippines might win that crown,'" she said. "So I arrived ten days before the pageant already feeling upbeat about the prospects of bringing home the crown." Young arrived in the Philippines on Thursday, and is set to stay here for four days before heading to Jakarta. She will then travel to different countries for charity projects, and will be based in London, England.
