S. Korea offering discounts for tourists from Vietnam this week

South Korea is giving a special welcome this week to tourists from Vietnam.
It's the 2019 Vietnam Welcome Week, starting today, as part of strengthening ties with with the country under Korea's New Southern Policy.
Visitors from Vietnam will find welcome booths at the airports, travel information in their language, gifts and discounts of up to 40 percent.
Vietnam is an increasingly important source of tourism for South Korea.
In the past five year's, tourist arrivals have risen by a staggering 34 percent annually.
Already this year, South Korea has welcomed an estimated 400-thousand Vietnamese, an increase from last year of 25 percent.
