MANILA - Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago on Thursday said politicians linked to the P10 billion pork barrel scam should not be elected to Malacañang in 2016. Speaking to ANC's Headstart, Santiago said the next President and Vice-President should have no link to the Napoles scam. "I hope nobody among these present personalities who are all elbowing their way into the TV screens. Lahat sila nagpapadrama. As I said, these drama kings are so boring because lahat sila nabahiran ng pork barrel kaya ginagawa ng iba ay nagsasangkot pilit ng iba na walang kaalam alam sa pork barrel kamukha ko. Galit lang sila sa akin dahil madaldal ako," she said in an interview on ANC's Headstart. The senator said her ideal candidate in the 2016 polls should be someone "who has a sense of idealism, pragmatism and constitutionalism." She said many senators who have presidential ambitions but have been linked to the scam have no chance of winning in the 2016 polls. "Basta nabahiran ka na dito sa pork barrel, wala ka ng pag-asa for 2016 because this is not an ordinary scandal that will boil over and then fizzle down and then people forget about it. I don't think so. We must realize that the nature of life is to change. Nagbabago ang Pilipino. Dati pag iskandalo, nakalimutan na nila. Tawanan na lang. Ngayon kita mo sunod-sunod ang mga rallies. Galit ang taumbayan. Ibig mong sabihin pababayaan lang natin ito? Pag walang mangyari dito, sira ang administrasyon," she added.
