(Hint: He used to be chubby) MANILA - A male senator who allegedly connived with businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles in the P10 billion pork barrel scam has the nickname "Sexy," key whistleblower Benhur Luy said Thursday. Luy, who was hired by Napoles as her personal assistant in 2002, said he used to accompany Napoles in the Senate back in 2004. He shared that he also went to the Senate sometime in 2011-2012 to get some documents from a certain male senator. "Alam ko yung office na pinuntahan ko. [Pero] di ko matandaan [yung floor]," he said before the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing on Thursday. Senate Majority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano then asked Luy to name the senator but he refused to answer. After some prodding, however, Luy eventually identified the senator by his nickname: "Sexy." Cayetano then quipped, "[Anong] slogan nung senador? Baka gusto niya happy ka," to which Luy just answered with a smile. "Gusto ko happy ka" was the campaign slogan of Senate Minority Leader Juan Ponce Enrile when he ran in the 2010 elections. Enrile is one of the lawmakers tagged in the pork barrel anomaly. Enrile and Cayetano have been at odds after the latter criticized the former Senate President for not distributing millions of pesos in additional maintenance and other operating expenditures (MOOE) funds to 4 senators. Later during the hearing, Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero also questioned Luy about the identity of the "Sexy" senator. "Curious lang ako. Sabi mo yung sexy lalaki, paano nangyari yun? Mahilig sa [sexy?]" "Kasi po nung una po kasi ano siya, mataba daw tapos biglang pumayat kaya sexy na ang tawag namin," Luy answered. Escudero then replied, "I would like to place on the record matagal na ho akong payat ha," eliciting laughs. Senator Ralph Recto also butted in and said, "Ako pumapayat na ko pero palagay ko hindi naman ako si Sexy, ano?" to which Luy said, "Hindi po." [PLEASE EMBED VIDEO -- ANC 1:46-1:47pm]
