MANILA -- Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin said there is still no ceasefire in place in Zamboanga City, and government and Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) forces under Nur Misuari continue to exchange fire. Gazmin said he has not talked to Misuari. He said he was just informed of the agreement by Vice President Jejomar Binay. But Gazmin said they are willing to stop firing if the other side does the same. Binay broke the news of the ceasefire agreement late Friday evening which would pave the way for a peaceful settlement. Binay, a former classmate of Misuari, is flying to Zamboanga today.
