The five-time defending champions Ateneo Blue Eagles demolished the league-leading FEU Tamaraws, 92-73. After scoring the game's first basket, FEU couldn't keep up with Ateneo which scorched the hoops and limited the Tamaraws' offense. Ateneo point guard Juami Tiongson was on fire from long range and finished with 20 points, while teammate Kiefer Ravena had 18 points, nine rebounds and five assists. That's now five straight wins for the Blue Eagles who climbed to 6-4 in a tie with archrival La Salle for fourth place in the standings. FEU dropped to 8-3, still the best record in the league. – ANC top story, August 28, 2013
