Dr M: Malaysia’s poverty rate not as bad as UN report suggests

Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad told the press on Thursday that Malaysia’s poverty rate was not as serious as indicated by a recent UN report. However, Dr Mahathir admitted that there is a need to adjust the poverty line.
