日 경산상, 韓과 국장급 정책 대화에 '전제조건' 내걸어
Japan's trade minister says Tokyo is open to talks with Seoul to resolve their trade dispute only if Korea meets what he called "preconditions."
In an interview with Japan's Sankei Shimbun, Hiroshige Seko explained that in order for director-level talks to resume, Seoul must correct its description of last month's meeting in Tokyo between officials from both nations.
He claimed that Seoul misled the public by calling that meeting a "negotiation" where Korea demanded Japan withdraw its export curbs.
But Seko claimed that the Korean side had accepted that the meeting was a just a one-way briefing of Japan's decision, without any demands from the Korean delegation.
