MANILA, Philippines – The De La Salle Green Archers overcame a double-digit halftime deficit to defeat their archrivals Ateneo for the first time since 2010, 82-73. The Ateneo Blue Eagles led by double-digits in the second quarter, closing halftime at 40-28. But the Green Archers rallied and grabbed the lead by the end of the third frame. Almond Vosotros scored 19 points to lead the Green Archers, while Arnold Van Opstal added 18 markers. With the win, La Salle keeps Ateneo winless in the UAAP Season 76 men’s basketball tournament. In an earlier game, the FEU Tamaraws crushed the UP Fighting Maroons, 75-57, to remain unbeaten so far in the season.
