Above average rainfall could be linked to bad scallop season this year

The bay scallop season on Florida's gulf coast is off to a slow start. Researchers are counting unusually low numbers of the mollusks. The season only lasts a couple of months each summer and is a huge driver for tourism in certain parts of Florida.
