Government officials mark the birthday of the King of Thailand with a ceremony in Pattaya, Thailand, on July 28.
The state employees wearing white military uniforms and yellow t-shirts gathered alongside police in front of a portrait of King Maha Vajiralongkorn to mark his 67th birthday.
Yellow candles were lit followed by a fireworks display.
Government officials and employees around the country took part in ceremonies marking the King's birthday. Monday, July 29 is a national public holiday in honour of the occasion.
The monarch said in a speech on Sunday that the country ''would prosper if Thais do their duty''.
