"A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away..." The beginning of the Star Wars saga is famous the world over. But when you follow this divine recipe, the galaxy is no longer quite so far away — it will have landed on your kitchen counter. It's something of a project, but give this eye-catching cake a try. It might just transport you to another world!

You'll Need:

For the brownie:

- 4 eggs
- 5.3 oz powdered sugar
- 6 oz melted butter
- 6 oz melted dark chocolate
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch salt

For the mousse:

- 7 oz chopped up dark chocolate
- 2⅘ cups whipping cream
- 2.8 oz powdered sugar

For the glaze:

- 10 fl oz water
- 12 oz sugar
- 1⅓ cups sweetened condensed milk
- 26 oz chopped up white chocolate
- 8 large leaves, softened gelatin
- Food coloring in red, blue, turquoise, pink, and purple

For the decoration:

- sugar stars
- edible sugar glitter

Here's How:

1. First, take care of the brownie. For this, beat the eggs and the powdered sugar together using an electric whisk. Then pour in the butter and the melted chocolate and mix it all into a smooth mixture. Now add the dry ingredients — the flour, baking powder, and salt and mix it all into a batter. Transfer this to a greased baking pan and bake for 40 minutes at 360°F in an oven set to provide heat from above and below.

2. Take the cake out of the oven and leave it to cool a little. Then, take a bowl a little under eight inches in diameter and set it upside down on top of the sponge. Use a knife to cut around the bowl. Don't use a sharp knife, to avoid scratching the pan. This circular section of brownie will form the base of the cake later.

3. For the mousse, warm the dark chocolate and ⅘ cup of the cream in the same bowl you just used. Warming the cream separately and then pouring it over the chocolate works well. Wait until the chocolate has melted and then leave the mixture to cool to room temperature. Then beat the rest of the whipping cream with the powdered sugar until it becomes stiff, then carefully fold it into the chocolate cream. Mix the two evenly together, and then smooth out the surface of the finished mousse. Set the circle of cake on top, then put the whole thing in the freezer for 24 hours.

4. Next day, before making the glaze, set a medium size bowl upside down in a large baking pan and stand the frozen cake on it, flat side down.

5. For the glaze, first heat the water, then sugar and finally the condensed milk in a pan. Beat it all together with a whisk and then let the mixture come to the boil. Once you have turned the heat down again, add the white chocolate and the softened gelatin and then blend it all together with a hand blender.

6. Next, after you have divided the glaze between six bowls, you can start creating the different colors: first drip a few drops of red and blue color in a bowl and mix them together until the pale liquid has turned a dark purple. Mix the rest of the colors in the remaining bowls until they each have a uniform color. Keep one bowl of glaze with no additional color. To finish, pour them all together in a large bowl and run a spoon through the glaze a few times so that the colors are slightly mixed.

7. Now it's getting colorful, in the truest sense of the word: pour the glaze over the cold cake. To make the whole thing shimmer and shine, sprinkle on the edible sugar glitter and sugar stars as decoration once the cake is fully covered with glaze.
