Former special counsel Robert Mueller has refuted President Trump's claims of total exoneration in the federal probe into Russia's interference in the 2016 election.
Testifying to Congress on Wednesday, Mueller said it was not what his report said and when asked to explain his findings in plain terms, he said "the findings indicate the president was not exculpated for the acts that he allegedly committed."
Mueller also claimed Russian election interference is one of the greatest challenges to democracy that he has encountered.
During the two hearings that lasted seven hours Democrats said Trump tried to impede the investigation, while Republicans attacked Mueller's credibility.
