North Korea appears to be trying to revive its tourism industry as a way of addressing the economic challenges it faces under economic sanctions.
North Korean propaganda outlet DPRK Today reported Monday... that the country is resuming tours for foreigners to its Geumgang-san Mountain including the mountain's scenic Haegeumgang River.
It says the tours will start late this month and run through the end of November... and that the four-day program includes hiking, fishing and spa treatments.
The North promoted a similar tour program last April.
Inter-Korean tour programs have been suspended since a South Korean tourist was shot dead for allegedly trespassing in 2008.
