This is a top notch hotel and our favorite from our entire travels through Ireland. From the second we walked up to the reception area and were greeted by smiling, pleasant and helpful reception staff, it was clear from the beginning that they would go out of their way to help us with whatever we needed. I personally love the fusion of modern rooms with antiquity of the castle. The room itself was the cleanest room with the most comfortable bed of all our stops in Ireland. We ended up spending WAY more time inside the hotel than we initially planned because of hurricane Ophelia, everything we had planned in Dublin was closed. The concierge was nice enough to call around a few places to see if they were open but unfortunately no success. We made the most of it lounging in the large reception area by the fire, the more private seating area outside the Knights bar, and even on some of the vintage looking chairs located in common areas on the other floors. The Knights bar had surprisingly good food and attentive wait staff. overall our stay here was better than expected which is always a nice surprise!
