New economic data show that domestic consumption is gradually improving... but Korea's exports and investment are still weak.
That's according to the finance ministry's greenbook report for July.
For a fourth straight month,.... it described the economy as stagnant,... pointing to Japan's new export curbs as well as global uncertainties such as the U.S.-China trade war... and the struggling semiconductor industry.
Exports, tallied for June, were down more than 13 percent on-year... mainly due to falling chip prices.
And in May, industrial output fell half a percent from a month earlier because of a slump in manufacturing.
