Logical connectives and compound statements

In this video we are going to learn what is meant by Logical connectives, symbols used and terms used to describe compound statements.

In Mathematical Logic there are five Logical connectives viz.
And, or, not, If …Then, …If and only if…
These words or group of words are used to join two simple statements to make a compound statements.
Sr. No. Connectives Symbols Term used To describe
1 and Ʌ Conjunction
2 or V Disjunction
3 not ~ Negation
4 If…Then → or => Implication or Conditional
5 ….if and only if … ↔ or
Double implication or Bi-conditional
