Amazon to Let Customers
Pick Up Packages At Rite Aid The e-commerce giant has partnered up with Rite Aid for the new service,
"Counter." To start, around 100 of the pharmacies in the U.S. are available for users
to grab their deliveries. The stores will receive
and scan the packages. At the same time, the
customer gets an email that
their order has arrived. They then have two weeks for pickup and only need to show a barcode from the email to receive their package. Eventually, Amazon says "Counter"
will expand to other
establishments besides Rite Aid. Besides the U.S., the delivery service is also functional in England and Italy.
