Good morning. Rain is in the forecast for southern parts of the country. Chungcheong-do Province and southern regions will be affected by a weak trough of low pressure, while Jeju will see monsoon rains.
Up to 30 millimeters is in store through this evening, while Chungcheong-do Provinces will see light sprinkles.
The rest of the country will be under mostly sunny skies. A soupy afternoon is in store with warm highs at 29 degrees in Seoul and 30 degrees in Daegu.
We are now in July, one of the hottest months of the year in Korea. In fact, the temperatures will continue to rise and by Friday we could see readings soaring to 33 degrees Celsius in the capital, while sunny skies and high humidity will dominate the week.
