After months of insisting he's "not in a hurry" to reach a deal with North Korea,... President Donald Trump tweeted he's willing to meet Kim Jong-un at the DMZ.
Pyeongyang appears to be on board for now.
Its vice foreign minister said the meeting would be a "significant event."
To find out what this sudden development could lead to, we connect with Stephen Noerper, Director of the Korea Society in New York.
Thank you for joining us.

Well, President Trump is scheduled to visit the Demilitarized Zone on Sunday. How likely is this surprise meeting with Kim, in your opinion?
Trump said he's happy to just to shake his hand and say hello.
What can we expect from this exchange, possibly a third summit?
President Trump has been flaunting his pen pal relationship with Kim Jong-un,... and heaping praises on the young leader despite North Korea's projectile launch last month.
Are the flatteries part of a well-calculated strategy?
Well, before the G20 summit in Osaka, Chinese leader Xi Jinping visited North Korea, which was largely interpreted as a form of messaging and pressure. Do you think this worked, and do you see Beijing playing a greater role in the denuclearization talks going forward?
Trump and Kim's second summit in Hanoi earlier this year ended early with no deal. If we do see a third summit soon, will the third time be the charm? Will both sides be more prepared this time around?
Dr. Noerper, thank you for your insights.
