UAE 바라카원전 정비사업 5년만 계약…일괄•단독수주는 못해

A South Korean consortium has secured a five-year maintenance deal for a nulcear plant in the United Arab Emirates.
Seoul's trade ministry says a consortium of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power and KEPCO KPS won the bid to maintain the UAE's plant in Barakah.
Barakah is the site where KEPCO has been building four reactors.
The contract also calls for the consortium to provide experienced manpower to Nawah Energy Company, the plant's operator.
The maintenance deal, however, at 5 years, was shorter than the 15 years the South Korean companies had hoped for.
