at the domestic box office, but it did not surpass
Disney's high expectations. Disney predicted that the latest Pixar film could
earn up to $140 million its debut weekend. 'Toy Story 4' picked up another $120 million
overseas for a global opening of $238 million. The film has positive reviews and a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. 2010's 'Toy Story 3' earned
$110 million in its opening weekend. 'Toy Story 4' is the third film this year to cross
the $100 million mark in its first weekend, joining 'Captain Marvel' and 'Avengers: Endgame'
from Disney's Marvel Universe. 'The Lion King' and 'Spider-Man: Far From Home'
are both hoping to join the group when
they premiere next month.
