A new study has found that working more than ten hours a day can increase the risk of having a stroke.
According to a French study of over 140-thousand people, those who work more than ten hours a day for at least 50 days a year, …have a 29 percent greater risk of a stroke.
Those who keep up such working hours for ten years or more have a 45 percent greater risk.
The link was stronger among people under 50 years old.
Experts suggest the working conditions, irregular schedules and stress that younger workers may face during long working hours …might have more of a negative impact on the heart than other factors that typically affect older people, …like high blood pressure and being overweight.
