Several American military forces approached several Ojibway Indians Villages in Montana on June 25, 1876 with intentions on forces them to cede their vast Reservation. Chippewa Indians leaders included chief Sitting Bull, chief Rocky Boy and chief Big Bear. American Soldiers were led by General Alfred Terry, Colonel Custer, Colonel Reno, Captain Benteen, General George Crook and Colonel Gibbon.
