Fortbyte 58 Accessible with SAD TROMBONE EMOTE at SNOBBY SHORES

2019-06-18 5

(LOCATED A-5 ON THE FN Map)
Off to Snobby Shores for today’s Fortbyte, which is another one of those ones that asks players to do some sort of thing at some sort of place: we’ve had a few of these that involve sprays, one that involved crossing the road with a chicken strut, and this one asks us to head on over to the western edge of the map and play a trombone. Not the hardest one out there, but there’s a surprising amount of leeway for where you actually have to search, so read on for a map, guide and location for where to find Fortbyte #58: Accessible by using the sad trombone emote at the north end of Snobby Shores.
You’re going to want to go near the entrance to the northernmost house or, more accurately, the entrance to the rubble where the northernmost house once stood. It’s sitting there right by the gate.

There’s a reason why Epic wants you to go to this house in particular, it would seem. It withstood the test of time up until now, but it seems that the monster that escaped from Polar Peak is visiting indiscriminate destruction down upon the island, and this house is one of its victims. Most of the time the monster is just sort of swimming offshore with a castle on its head, but apparently, it stomps up under cover of darkness and smashes stuff.
We’ll see what else the monster has in store over the course of the season: we’re heading here past the halfway point and into what we could consider act 3, when Epic tends to ramp up to the big one-time event. That clearly has something to do with the monster this time around, so we’ll see what happens once this week’s patch drops and things start to move more quickly.

1. Equip the sad trombone emote.
2. Head towards snobby shores.
3. Land at the house Closer to Haunted Hills
4. The fortbyte should be right outside the front of the house, pick it up!
