Burger King to Sell
‘Stranger Things’-Inspired
‘Upside-Down Whoppers’ In partnership with Netflix, Burger King will
start serving an “Upside-Down Whopper” in
honor of the the new season of ‘Stranger Things.’ The burger is based on the Upside-Down,
an alternative, sinister universe that exists
in the popular series. The “Upside-Down Whopper” will be just like a regular Whopper, but served with the bottom of the bun on top of the burger and vice versa. It will also be served in classic Burger
King packaging from the mid-1980s. This special burger will be available in various
cities across the United States, such as Boston, Miami, New York and Los Angeles,
starting on June 21. Items such as Eleven-inspired bleeding
ketchup packets and crowns modeled
after Dustin's hat will also be available. The promotion also involves DoorDash,
with customers able to enter the code
“STRANGER” to access a $5 “Hopper Meal.” Customers who used the code will
receive access to exclusive content from
season three of ‘Stranger Things.’
