Google to End Integration Between Google Drive and Google Photos Due to negative feedback from customers,
the tech giant is officially putting an end
to its automatic syncing service. Google,
via statement Google wrote in a blog post on June 12 that starting in
July, photos and videos uploaded to Drive will no longer
automatically appear in Photos and vice versa. The change will also prevent “accidental
deletion of items across products” as file
deletion will no longer sync between the two. The new method will allows people to copy
images and photos from one program into the
other, creating two versions of the same file. This may cause users issues in terms of cloud storage,
as copying items will now eat up double the space. Google has stressed that the removal of cross
integration will not lead to any media deletion. Google,
