Amid the escalating trade war between the US and China, many US businesses are reeling from the impact of a 15 per cent tariff increase on US$200 billion of Chinese imported goods. But the garlic industry in California is praising the sanctions after it led to a reduction in the price gap between products grown in the US and that produced in China.
