Trump Admin Announces
Travel Restrictions to Cuba Group "people-to-people"
visits will be banned
beginning Wednesday. The new restrictions
include a ban on group
tours and cruise ship stops. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross says the
restrictions are an effort "to hold the
Cuban regime accountable for its
repression of the Cuban people ... ... and its support
of the Maduro
regime in Venezuela." U.S. State Department, via ABC News In April, National Security Advisor
John Bolton called out the small
island nation as part of
the "Troika of Tyranny." Travel restrictions to
Cuba were lifted during
the Obama Administration. Whether existing
cruise reservations will
be canceled is unknown.
