At least 30 protesters have been killed while hundreds injured in Sudan as its security forces launched a massive crackdown against a sit-in protest.
Citing multiple eyewitnesses,... CNN reports that the security forces - the police and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces - opened fire at the ant-military government protesters on Monday who had congregated outside the Defense Ministry building in the country's capital Khartoum.
The Sudanese Professionals Association,... which organized the protests,... tweeted that live bullets and massive violence are being used against innocent civilians.
This is the worst bloodshed in Sudan since April when the nation's former leader Omar al-Bashir was arrested and forced out of power in a military coup opposing his three-decade-long iron-fist rule of Sudan.
