Editor Johnny Au from the AU review sat down with Brisbane's Michelle Xen to chat all things Music Matters. So far, she had been super impressed, "This is my first time ever in Singapore... the food is so good." The big topic of conversation though, was the eventful gig that saw Michelle's bass player injured...
"It was pretty amazing actually, it was quite late - like our dirty club set..." Michelle said. "There was still a good crowd there and they were champing at the bit - the set was going really great... My bass player pulled a big move and popped his knee out... We called the paramedics and then he said 'let's keep going' so we strapped ice to his knee and kept going with the set..." The craziness didn't end there, with the paramedics arriving and shutting the gig down.
On being featured at the Aussie BBQ, Michelle stated: "it's got this great reputation, it's a big conference - the job that they do is really important - we're super excited and we've got lots of tricks up our sleeves."
Finally, on future plans, Michelle revealed her EP Dynamics of Disobedience will be coming out later this year. She also plans on touring the East Coast and then heading over to the US.
