Recently, the AU review sat down with the guitar-wielding, Melbourne-dwelling, Peter Bibby, at this year’s Laneway Festival. In part one of this two-part interview we discuss touring with fellow Laneway artist Mac Demarco’s mum and playing BIGSOUND 2014.
Bibby, who says he went from ‘playing at the shitty pub on the corner to playing Laneway,’ describes how turning his ‘teenage pipedream’ into a reality was harder than he ever imagined. We chat about the hectic lifestyle of touring America, sketchy Perth venues, and discuss fellow musicians FKA Twigs, Pond and Tame Impala, to name a few.
