Kurt Cobain's Old, Dirty
Plate Sells for Over $22K A plate that
Cobain used to eat
pizza and then write
a setlist on has sold
for $22,400 through
Julien's Auctions. The auction house originally thought it
would only sell for up to $2,000. The piece of grunge memorabilia was from a
show in Washington, D.C., on April 23, 1990,
before Nirvana was famous. It is accompanied by
a letter of authenticity
from Johnny Riggs
of the band THUD,
who opened for
Nirvana that night. Via letter of authenticity The auction house
also sold Cobain's
green cardigan from
his last photoshoot
in 1993 for $75,000. The 25th anniversary
of Cobain's death was
on April 5 of this year. His former bandmates paid
tribute to him on Twitter.
