A high-ranking South Korean sports executive is expected in North Korea today for follow-up talks on possibly forming a unified team for the 2020 Tokyo Games.
According to the Korean Sport and Olympic Committee, its Vice Secretary General, Park Chul-Keun, left for Pyeongyang this afternoon.
They will also discuss the South Korean table tennis team possibly competing in an international tournament this July in Pyeongyang.
For next year's Olympics, the two sides agreed in February to form a joint team in women's field hockey, women's basketball, rowing and judo.
North Korea, though, has not shared any specific plans for that so far.
