DMZ 화살머리고지서 국군전사자 추정 첫 완전유해 발굴
Excavators in the Demilitarized Zone have found what's believed to be the complete remains of a South Korean soldier who died in one of the fiercest battles of the Korean War.
According to Seoul's defense ministry, items found near the body appear to be the soldier's personal items, including a rank badge, a steel helmet and a canteen.
The body was found at Arrowhead ridge, where a landmine removal and excavation project began last month.
The remains will be identified through a detailed examination and DNA analysis.
