DMZ 화살머리고지서 국군전사자 추정 첫 완전유해 발굴
Excavators in the Demilitarized Zone have found what they think are the complete remains of a South Korean soldier who died in one of the fiercest battles of the Korean War.
Seoul's defense ministry says items found near the body appear to be the soldier's personal effects, including a rank badge, a steel helmet and a canteen.
The body was found at Arrowhead ridge, where a project began last month to excavate the area and remove landmines.
The remains will be identified through a detailed examination and DNA analysis.
