Ravens Can Hold a Grudge
for up to a Month A new report says just like crows, Ravens can be resentful towards those who wrong them. In an exercise, a team of researchers in Sweden
put nine ravens into two scenarios with humans. The study had the ravens give
humans bread in exchange for cheese. With another group, the humans would take the bread and give them nothing. The ravens were then gathered up
again for the same experiment a month later. Out of the nine, eight ravens traded their
bread away again to people who gave them cheese over those who stole their food away. Researchers add that ravens who watched
other birds get robbed still couldn't
remember which humans were trustworthy. This means that ravens would only hold a grudge if they personally have their
food taken.
