Analysis of satellite images suggests North Korea likely launched a short-range missile on Saturday.
CNN reported that Jeffrey Lewis, director of the East Asia Nonproliferation Program at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey said the location of the launch, the thick, smoky appearance of the exhaust... and the fact that there is only one rocket trail all suggest it was the short-range ballistic missile that North Korea showed in its propaganda.
An early analysis shows the launches "appear to have been both multiple launch rocket systems and a short range ballistic missile."
Lewis added the regime began firing a barrage of projectiles beginning at approximately 9:06 am. Saturday, then another at around or after 10am.
