American country music singer, Mel Tillis, was inducted in the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007.
Tillis wrote the song 'Ruby, Don't Take Your Love To Town' which was a number one hit for Kenny Rogers in 1969 in Canada and charted highly in the US & UK.
