WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange says he does not consent to being extradited to the U.S. over charges related to leaking government secrets.
His extradition hearing in London on Thursday came a day after he was sentenced to 50 weeks in jail for breaching the Bail Act in response to his arrest last month.
The 47-year-old told the court that he do not wish to surrender himself for extradition for doing journalism that has won many awards and protected many people.
While the case was adjourned until May 30th,... the UK needs to decide whether to extradite Assange to the U.S. over WikiLeaks' decision to publish thousands of classified documents.
