베네수엘라 '군사 충돌' 위기…혼란 고조
Venezuela's embattled President Nicolas Maduro is claiming his troops have defeated a coup attempt by opposition leader Juan Guaido.
In a live televised address Tuesday night, local time, Maduro said the opposition leader had failed to turn the military against him.
Clashes in the capital and other parts of the country ensued between civilians and soldiers supporting Guaido and the security forces and pro-government militias of Maduro.
More than a hundred people were injured.
Juan Guaido insists that Maduro has lost control of the armed forces, and that a peaceful transition is at hand.
He has appealed for supporters to take to the streets of Venezuela again on Wednesday.
